Library Renovations UPDATE
After 2-1/2 years of contractual wrangling, the Friends of PG Library decided to change course. It stopped pursuing the library renovation project as a private/public partnership with the PG Borough. HOWEVER, in October 2016, the Friends asked the Borough if it would take over the project with the Friends providing funding for the job.
We’re pleased to report the Borough accepted the offer. The necessary paperwork is in place, and the Borough awarded a professional-services contract on January 17 to Arcari + Iovino Architects of Little Ferry, NJ. A+I previously worked with the Friends to sketch out recommended changes. This head start will give the Borough an advantage in moving forward.
Thank you to our community for your unending support of our library. It will be an exciting year of change at One School Street.
